G3 Site Senior Executive

G3 Site Senior Executive course is an Advanced Diploma level competency covering the skills and knowledge required to establish and maintain the risk management system in the resources and infrastructure industries.

RIIRIS601E Establish and Maintain the Risk Management System unit of competency is a requirement for the role of Site Senior Executive and is also fundamental for persons who have a duty of care under the WHS Act.

Who Should Attend?

G3 Site Senior Executive course is a requisite for roles on a mine site where the individual is responsible to establish a framework or maintain risk management processes such as Mine Manager, Safety Manager, Site Safety Representative, Open Cut Examiner or for management teams.

Although there are no entry requirements for this unit, individuals undertaking the G3 Site Senior Executive course should be working in a supervisory/management role within the resource industry and preferably have completed courses in risk management and WHS within mining.

G3 Site Senior Executive course is conducted by Strategic Corporate Training as a group workshop by our industry expert trainers over five days with assessment completed during the training delivery.

During the course, an audit of the student’s work site/business risk management system against the requirements of the relevant legislation, standards and guidance notes is undertaken along with an audit of one of the site’s risk assessment tools against the organisation’s internal systems requirements.

Students need to bring a laptop computer to classroom training that has Microsoft Office 97 or later (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and the latest Adobe Acrobat Reader. A computer with these specifications and internet access is required during self directed learning at home/work.

Face to face training is conducted at our facility in Thornton NSW which is easily accessible for individuals from the Hunter Valley, Maitland, Newcastle Region, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast, Port Stephens and Mid-North Coast areas.

Strategic Corporate Training can also deliver the G3 Site Senior Executive course at a client’s venue for group bookings (minimum numbers apply).

Assessment

Assessment is based on competency, which is the ability to demonstrate specific skills.

A range of assessment methods will be utilised to assess competence in each unit within the course including group activities, projects, written questions, presentation, observation etc.

Assessment tasks are completed during the classroom training using electronic workbooks and so it is essential that students are proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
